Science
Developing a “science-based” approach to conservation means providing scientific information for planning, setting priorities, implementing activities, and evaluating efforts. Active habitat and species research is being conducted in this region which is home to a disproportionate number of species considered “at risk”. Activities include:
- Recovery strategies for species at risk
- Okanagan Basin Water Board partnership strategies
- Support for restoration projects for species at risk
- Wildlife inventories
